What Does this urine Test Result Mean?
my physicianincreased benicar dose from 5 mgs to 10, two days later, experienced headaches. also, advised to stop taking HCTZ; after a week I have edema. These after urinalysis showed microalbuminuria.I am hypertensive. had 2 RCA stents and prediabetic. Bld sugar controlled w/o medication; bld pressure, controlled. Please evaluate symptoms.etc Thank you very much.

Microalbuminuria is early indicator of kidney affection
Here edema leg present..
Hence rule out kidney affection by testing with serum urea , creatinine and egfr..
Your blood pressure also should be controlled with medication
If blood pressure not controlled than nephropathy can occur
Cardiac causes, low serum total protein, liver affection etc are some other cause for edema
Take care
Consult urologist for examination and further work up accordingly
